Information:

The following extenders are available for ShareScan 5.x:

• Highlight & Redact Extender (Requires ShareScan 5.0 or later)
• Database Lookup Extender (Requires ShareScan 5.1 Service Pack 1 or later)
• Authentication Extender (Requires ShareScan 5.2 or later)

For ShareScan version 5.x:

Highlight & Redact: This module is available free of charge in all implementations. This extender becomes available in the services tab after adding the extender license to the ShareScan Administration Console. After adding the Extender license, the connectors should automatically appear in the Services tab of the administration console for configuration. If the Service fails to appear, right-click in the Connector tab and select "refresh connectors" then return to the Services tab.

Database Lookup Extender: This module is available free of charge for Suite and Office bundle Device licenses. For Elements bundles this extender is a separate purchase. This extender is enabled after adding a ShareScan Extender license to the administration console. After adding the Extender license, the connectors should automatically appear in the Services tab of the administration console for configuration. If the Service fails to appear, right-click in the Connector tab and select "refresh connectors" then return to the Services tab.

Authentication Extender: This module is not required for Suite bundle licenses. For Elements and Office bundles this extender is available free of charge. This extender is enabled after adding a ShareScan Extender license to the administration console. After adding the Extender license, the connectors should automatically appear in the Services tab of the administration console for configuration. If the Service fails to appear, right-click in the Connector tab and select "refresh connectors" then return to the Services tab.

NFR & Evaluation extender license keys for the Highlight & Redact and Database Lookup Extender are available from your eCopy dealer or reseller. The Authentication Extender enables the Single Sign On capabilities only, using the Cost Recovery protocol. As the Cost Recovery extender is already enabled in both NFR and Evaluation licenses, the Authentication Extender is not visible.

How to get a separate purchase key for Database Lookup Extender:

1. Upon purchase and fulfillment of an order for a separate connector purchase the license key is provided.
2. It is strongly recommeded to register all keys on http://registration.ecopy.com to prevent loss of license key information.
3. Copy or type the connector license key into the ShareScan administration console Add license form.
4. The connector license will allow using the additional connector on a single device with the same license encoding.

How to get a key for these extenders:

For information on Database Lookup Extender for Elements customers only please see Working with Connector access Licenses.

1. Register all license keys on http://registration.ecopy.com to prevent loss of license key information.
2. Once registered, select the Downloads tab of the registration site
3. Download the appropriate license for the feature.
4. In the ShareScan administration console Add license form, select the load Manually section and select the downloaded license package.
5. The connector license will allow using the additional connector on all devices.

What is included in a ShareScan Purchase?

Suite purchases:

• Highlight & Redact and the Database Lookup Extenders are included with purchase.  
• The Authentication Extender is not included. The functionality of the Authentication Extender already exists in the included Cost Recovery Extender.
• Licenses must be downloaded from the registration site and added into the administration console to unlock these features.

Office purchases:

• All of the above extenders are included with purchase.  
• Licenses must be downloaded from the registration site and added into the administration console to unlock these features.

Elements purchases:

• Highlight & Redact and the Authentication Extenders are included with purchase.  
• Licenses must be downloaded from the registration site and added into the administration console to unlock these features.
• The Document Lookup Extender is available as a separate purchase. See Working with Connector access Licenses for additional information.
• The Document Lookup Extender license must be added into the administration console to unlock this features.

For ShareScan version 4.3.5:

These features are not available for ShareScan 4.x.
