"Cannot reach this page" / "Can't reach this page" accessing Insight tenant applications

Question / Problem: 

When using Internet Explorer, this error displays when attempting to access any tenant application. Why does this occur and how can it be resolved?

Answer / Solution: 

IE, and possibly other browsers, will display this error because the URL's domain isn't resolving due to DNS configuration. There are many ways to resolve this so contact your I.T. staff or network team to update DNS resolution and / or hosts files to resolve the name to its IP address.

Insight tenant URL's are typically in the format https(s)://tenant.company/Insight/application/Login.aspx. This error pertains to the tenant.company portion that cannot be resolved.
