Unable to generate Pages Scanned Report when opening Report Viewer

Question / Problem: 

When using Oracle with the Kofax Capture Report Viewer, the following error is encountered:

The Kofax Capture Error log will show the following:

Answer / Solution: 

This could be related to known software bug submitted under Bug " 1102650 ".  This issue is address in Fix Pack 3 for Capture 11 and higher.


If you are using Oracle 12c you will need to add the following lines to the ACConfig.xml file located in \\...\CaptureSV\Config folder

 

<ACConfig>

...

<ReportViewer UseOleDbForOracle="1"/>

</ACConfig>

After the changes restart the Kofax Capture Service and Report Viewer should open without this error.
