Sticky Field Value Retention between Documents

Question / Problem:

Do "Sticky" Fields retain their values between all Documents of the current Batch?

Answer / Solution:

The "sticky" attribute of an Index Field causes the field to obtain its value from the same field on the previous Document of the same Document Class. This behavior continues until a new value is entered, at which point the new value is carried forward from Document to Document.

If you specify "sticky" and a default value, the default will be used rather than the "sticky" value from the previous document. When dealing with Documents of multiple Document Classes, the "sticky" values are NOT retained between Documents of different Document Classes.
