Image rotation 180 degrees in QC or Validation causes image not to display

Question / Problem:

What causes the image to not display when rotating in QC or Validation?

Answer / Solution:

When performing a 180 rotation to an image in QC or Validation the the view panel will not display the image:

Image 5b.jpg

The problem is that Virus protection is causing the rename of the temporary file that it's created during the rotation from ".tmp" to ".tif"

The solutions is to exclude the location of the image storage location from the antivirus and Malware software.

Also exclude Kofax folders from Windows Defender as follow:

Virus & threat protection > Manage settings > Add or remove exclusions. In the next screen, click on Add an exclusion > Folder.

Repeat the steps to add an exclusion to Qc.exe (Quality Assurance) and Index.exe (Validation) process.
