Determine the number of Documents in a Batch from the database

Question / Problem:

Can I determine the number of Documents in a Batch from the database, or do I need to refer to the log files?

Answer / Solution:

Yes, the total Document and Page count for a Batch can be found in the Kofax database as long as the Batch still appears in Batch Manager. The Document and Scanned Pages counts can be located in the dbo.BatchCatalog table.

If the Batch has already been released/exported, the Document and Scanned Page counts can be found in the Log file. The Log file can be located in the CaptureSV\Log folder for KC client/server environments, and is located in the Capture\Log folder for Standalone environments. Line "03" contains the total Documents and Scanned Pages in the Batch.
