Document ID resets after migrating from Standard database to SQL Server 2012

Question / Problem:

After migrating from a Capture standard database to SQL Server 2012, the Document ID resets from a large number back to one.

Answer / Solution:

This is a known issue and is scheduled to be fixed in KC 11.0.

As a temporary solution, the Document ID may be changed by doing the following:

  1. Execute the command: dbutil /supporttab
  2. Go to the Support tab.
  3. Enter the desired value for Unique ID for next document and click Change.
