Timeout expired Error 3566 when trying to compact and repair the Capture database via DBUtil

Question / Problem: 

Receiving the following error after trying to compact and repair the KC database via DBUtil. How can I resolve this issue?[3566] KdoLib: Network I/O error: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. The statement has been terminated. 

Answer / Solution: 

To resolve this issue, perform a manual Compact and Repair operation on the SQL database:

1. Stop all Kofax related services and modules.

2. Using a SQL connection tool like SQL Management Studio, execute the follow commands”

a. To compact the database: 
    DBCC SHRINKDATABASE (<Capture Database_Name>)

b. To repair the database:
    DBCC CHECKDB (<Capture_Database_Name>, REPAIR_REBUILD)

3. Start all Kofax related services and modules.

If the standard out-of-the box SQL Express database is being used.  Please contact Kofax Technical Support.
