Match Temporary Image Folder Name to a Batch

Question / Problem:

How can I match the Temporary Image folder name to a batch in the system?

Answer / Solution:

There are two ways to achieve this:

  1. You can use the DBUtil.exe. Go to the Repair and Compact tab, it will have the batch names next to their respective hexadecimal value/folder name. However, if you are storing batches in SQL, this option is not possible.
  2. If you are using the Batch ID with your batch naming system, the values of the folder in the images folder (000592F9 for example) is the hexadecimal conversion of the Batch ID. The batch ID is unique to every batch.

For example, 000592F9 is hexadecimal. Using the Programming mode of the built in Calculator for Windows, if you convert 000592F9 from hexadecimal to decimal, the value is 365305. So, you can then find the correct batch based on the Batch ID 365305. You can also match this value to the ExternalBatchID column in the BatchCatalog table in the database.
