Only one instance of Export processes Batches even with Enterprise license

Question / Problem:

When running multiple instances of Export under an Enterprise License, why is only one instance of the Export service processing Batches?

Answer / Solution:

One possible reason may be that one or more Export Connectors referenced by the Batch Class does not support multiple instances.

If multiple instance support is not specified for an Export Connector, such support is disabled by default.
