Moving Kofax Capture SQL Server database or restore after Disaster

Solution

The Kofax supported method for moving a Kofax Capture database is using Kofax DBUTIL.

Another way to move the database is to detach the database, relocate the corresponding MDF file and attach it to the new SQL instance. Then modify the ACConfig.xml accordingly.

For Disaster Recovery, if the database server goes down and you have a backup of the database, it can be restored to another DB server and Kofax Capture be pointed to the new instance. You may also refer to the SQL Server's documentation on how to backup and restore the database.
