ODBC Connection Setup

Issue

How can I setup ODBC connection for Kofax Capture StatsMgr account to access the Statistics data?

Solution

Kofax Capture is a 32bit software so it does require creating the ODBC with the 32bit ODBC connection.

Open 32bit ODBC

1. Select User DSN or System DSN
2. Select Add button
3. Scroll down and select SQL Server
4. Select Finish button
5. Enter DSN Name Example: ( KofaxODBC )
6. Enter the Server Example: ( Servername\Instancename )
7. Select Next button
8. Select "With SQL Server authentication....."
9. Select "Connect to SQL Server to obtain default settings...."
10. Enter Login ID: StatsMgr
11. Enter Password: Screen73 or HDveq3XTgHS6%h$
12. Select Next button
13. Select "Change the default database to" check box
14. Select the database you're connecting to from the drop-down list: ACSystem
15. Select Next button
16. Select Finish button
17. Select Test Data Source button

You should see "TESTS COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY!"

Here are the Instance names for Kofax Standard databases:

• Kofax Capture 11.0 - kofaxcap2014
• Kofax Capture 11.1 - kofaxcap111
