Question / Problem:
Installing Fix Pack 1 or Fix Pack 2 for Kofax Capture 10 failed with the following error message:
Product: Kofax Capture 10.0 -- Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action Patching Database (Patch), location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Kofax\CaptureSS\ServLib\Bin\DBUtil.exe, command: /Patch
How can I resolve this issue?
Answer / Solution:
This is a known problem with Fix Pack 1 and 2 when trying to patch Kofax Capture and the Capture share folder (CaptureSV) is on a SAN, NAS or network drive. This issue was reported in SPR 106014.
The workaround is to install the Kofax Capture share folder on the local drive.
