Unknown Absent error in logs when installing Capture 10.1.1.1 when SP1 not installed

Question / Problem:

Kofax Capture 10.1 Service Pack 1 Fix Pack 1 fails to install without any message other than a failed attempt. The following error message is noted in the KCUpdateKofaxCApture-10.1.1.1.LOG file:

Unknown\Absent: {459E01E0-62A2-4717-B2F7-0175634AE7AF} - <Path>\KofaxCapture- 10.1.1.1.msp

Answer / Solution:

This indicates that Service Pack 1 is missing. Please install Service Pack 1, then reapply Fix Pack 1 for Service Pack 1.
