Question / Problem:
Batches are not uploading to the Central Site, receiving a synchronization error:
(4913) Unable to write data to the transport connection: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.
Answer / Solution:
In most instances, this issue is caused by antivirus, firewall or router issues preventing the connection. Reviewing the IIS logs and router/firewall logs for any blocks in communications or traffic marked as suspicious will help determine where the cause for the issue is.
For this instance, when the Remote Site was trying to upload a Batch, the firewall log reported that the packets were being dropped due to the firewall detecting a "Apache Struts2 Vulnerability."
This is detected as a false-positive.
The firewall log display:
The latest firewall update caused this issue. This vulnerability was previously rated as Low, but is now rated as High.
Modifiying the firewall setting to not block the connection should remedy this issue.
