Activation Code Not Accepted Error 6003 During Manual Activation From Kofax Product License Activation Website

Question / Problem: 

When attempting to complete a Manual Activation from the Kofax Product Activation Website, then an error is received and the process to activate the license cannot be completed.  e.g. Attempting to complete a Move Software License from the Manual Activation Site will result with the error condition, below: 

Error: 6003 Your activation code was not accepted
because it has been activated on another machine.

Answer / Solution: 

This issue can occur if the incorrect Machine Address is used or; if the incorrect License Activation Website is accessed. 
the two separate License Activation websites, both available from the Kofax Product's License Management website, with separate details and usage for each, as follows: 

 

Steps to Resolve: Incorrect MAC Address: 

If you are attempting to complete a Manual Activation on a New Server, please ensure the correct MAC Address is used from the Kofax License Utility - Activate menu

 

Steps to Resolve: Incorrect License Activation Website:  

If you are attempting to complete a Move Software License or similar Temporary License Activation to a new machine (New MAC Address), please follow steps, below: 

  1. Navigate to the correct website for Temporary License Activation:
  2. Enter your contact information
  3. Enter your Kofax Product Information (Serial Number & "All other products and/or versions')
  4. Select the Move Software License as the Reason
  5. Enter a Note: Move Software License, or similar
  6. Click the Request button to update the submission form with additional field for the Product Code & Machine ID (MAC Address)
    1. Ensure the MAC Address of the New License Server is supplied
  7. Click the Request button a second time to complete the process.  
  8. Once the request is processed, you will be given a temporary activation code which you can manually activate the license on the new server by copying and pasting the temporary activation code.

Afterwards, you will be contacted Inside Sales will contact him within 5 business days to make the license move permanent.
