Question / Problem:

When trying to activate a Kofax Capture license with a new set of activation codes the following error occurs:

[8089] ACLicImp: Your activation code was not accepted because it has been activated on another machine.

Answer / Solution:

Check the Capture License Utility to verify that the Machine ID listed in the License Utility is the same as the MAC Address of the computer that the license is being activated on.

If they are different, check the ..\CaptureSV\Config\ACConfig.xml file to see that the license service line is pointing to the new computer for the Host name.

If it's not, change the config file Host name to point to the new computer, save the file, then restart the Kofax Capture service.

Retry the license activation. The Machine ID should match the new server and activate successfully.
