Question / Problem:
What causes the error message:
“ AcLicImp: Insufficient licensing to run the requested module or feature.”
at a Remote Site?
Answer / Solution:
This error will occur when a Remote Site attempts to launch a module and no Station License is available. This error message will usually include the name of the license requested.
When running the Kofax Capture License Utility, check to see how many Station Licenses are available. The most likely explanation is that additional Station Licenses are required for the system. If no Station Licenses are available, the user will receive this error message.
If Station Licenses are available under the License Utility, the Remote Site Profile may not have sufficient Station Licenses assigned to it for the Remote Site experiencing the problem. To eliminate this possibility, the administrator should check the Remote Site Manager under the Administration module on the Central Site and verify that sufficient Station Licenses have been assigned to the Remote Site Profile in question.
It is possible that more licenses should be listed under the “Available” column of the License Utility, but are not available because one or more Remote Sites have not relinquished them for use after they were finished with them. To eliminate this possibility, the administrator should check the Remote Site Manager under the Administration module on the Central Site and verify that duplicate listings for the Remote Site experiencing the problem do not exist. If so, these additional entries should be removed. When these duplicate entries are removed, the user should notice that additional Station License become available under the Kofax Capture License Utility.
