Invalid Serial Number SALicClnt 6007 error during Automatic License Activation

Question / Problem: 

When attempting to complete License Activation, then an error is occurring during Automatic License Activation step: 

[6007] SALicClnt: Invalid Serial Number. ( Serial # )

Answer / Solution: 

This issue can be caused when the Machine which has previously completed License Activation has since been restored to a point prior-to the initial License Activation.  A Manual Activation can resolve the issue or expose the need for a Move Software License: 

Steps to complete Kofax Capture Manual License Activation

  1. Launch the Kofax Capture License Utility
  2. Complete steps for a Manual License Activation Code
    1. Navigate to the Kofax Product's License Management web site for Kofax Product License Activation
    2. Enter Serial Number & Email Address, then NEXT
    3. Enter the Product Code & Machine ID, then REQUEST
    4. The page will refresh with a Manual Activate Code text
  3. Copy/Paste the Manual Activation Code (Step 2.4) into the Kofax Capture License Utility - Manual & Activate; you should receive a message indicating License has been successfully activated.

Note: If the attempt to complete Manual Activation results with message indicating that the Serial Number has been activated on another machine, then proceed with steps, below: 

Steps to complete Kofax Capture Temporary License Activation (Move Software License)

  1. Launch the Kofax Capture License Utility
  2. Complete steps for a Temporary License Activation: Move Software License
    1. Navigate to the Kofax Product's License Management web site for Temporary License Activation
    2. Enter Your Contact Information;
    3. Kofax Product Information (Version: All Other Products and/or version);
    4. Reason: Move Software License and;
    5. Note: Move Software License,
    6. Then REQUEST.  The page will refresh with a Manual Activate Code text
  3. Copy/Paste the Manual Activation Code (Step 2.6) into the Kofax Capture License Utility - Manual & Activate; you should receive a message indicating License has been successfully activated.
  4. The Move Software License process should include contact (email) from the Kofax Inside Sales team to the email address used within the Temporary License Activation request, within five (5) business days of the request. That contact will provide indication for the final step (License Utility - Automatic Activation) to clear the temporary license.
