Question / Problem:
When launching a Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture module, the following error message is encountered:
“ AcLicImp: Machine ID not found in the system. A network card is required for software-based licensing”.
Answer / Solution:
This issue can occur if the network card has been disabled and re-enabled, or due to the machine entering sleep / hibernation mode.
To resolve this, restart the Kofax Capture Licensing Service.
