Reporting Client Log Files Accumulate



Question / Problem: 

What can cause log files to accumulate in the Program Data\Kofax\Reporting\Client\Log folder?


How can this issue be resolved?


Answer / Solution: 

This issue was caused by Kofax Reporting was enabled by default starting with KC 10.0 Service Pack 1 as a part of an integration with the Kofax Reporting product.  Kofax Reporting is disabled by default starting in Kofax Capture 10.2.


To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:

  1. Stop all Kofax Capture related services and modules.
  2. Backup the ACConfig.xml file and add the following tag:



       <Reporting Enable="2"/>



  1. Restart all Kofax Capture related services and modules.
  2. Delete all existing logs in the Program Data\Kofax\Reporting\Client\Log folder.
