Question / Problem:
What is the difference between adjusting the Sensitivity setting on PDF Recognition Profile Compression Settings to be lower versus higher?
Answer / Solution:
The Sensitivity setting is used to decide what is "Foreground" vs. "Background". High sensitivity helps to preserve weak data, low values help to ignore textured or noisy backgrounds. Generally with higher sensitivity, the resulting file size grows.
“Background” is what is left when pictures and the "Foreground" are taken out. Higher quality of the background will preserve more of its texture, in case it is of any interest.
