Activate option is disabled in Kofax Capture License Utility

Issue

When selecting File from the menu bar in Kofax Capture License utility, the Activate option is disabled (greyed-out).

Solution

Ensure that the Windows Services (services.msc) is closed, and then refresh the license service by disabling and then re-enabling it.

To disable the service, run the following command at the Run command prompt:

aclicsrvcfg.exe /d

To enable the service, run the following command at the Run command prompt:

aclicsrvcfg.exe

Verify that the Capture service is started, and then check to see if the menu is enabled.
