Question / Problem:
I am installing Advanced Reports R2 using an Oracle 11g database. I am creating a user with a name like "KOFAX123" and a password like "123KofaxABC". I am receiving an error message similar to the following:
"Error Executing SQL Query from script. ORA-00922: missing or invalid option "
Answer / Solution:
The password "123KofaxABC" is invalid for Oracle. Try using something like "Kofax123ABC".
Also, this error will be returned when attempting to use invalid characters in the password.
The default restrictions on Oracle passwords are as follows:
- Passwords can be from 1 to 30 characters.
- The first character in an Oracle password must be a letter.
- Only letters, numbers, and the symbols "#", "_" and "$" are acceptable in a password.
