Windows could not start the Kofax Capture Export services on Local Computer

Question / Problem:

I receive the following error message when trying to restart the Export service:

Windows could not start the Kofax Capture Export services on Local Computer
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

How can I resolve this issue?

Answer / Solution:

Check to make sure that the account used to run the service has proper permissions.

Also disable (uncheck) the Check for publisher's certificate revocation and Check for server certificate revocation options in Internet Explorer by going to Tools ¦ Internet Options ¦ Advanced tab.
