FPS Color Error 314 Image Could Be An Unsupported Format

Issue

Receiving the following error when exporting the batches:

Export Error: [FPS Color: An unspecified error occurred. The image could be an unsupported format. ( Error -314: \\Test01\CaptureSV\Images\ABCInvoces\0001FBE2\200\1.tif ).]

Cause

This issue can occur if Kofax VRS / ImageControls cannot see the Kofax Capture license due to the IGNORECAPTURELICENSE value being set to "1" in C:\ProgramData\Kofax\Vrs\KofaxReg.xml

Solution

1. Stop all applications and services that use Kofax VRS / ImageControls.

2. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Kofax\Vrs\

3. Open KofaxReg.xml in a text editor such as Notepad

4. Set the IGNORECAPTURELICENSE value to 0

5.  Save the changes to KofaxReg.xml

This issue could also be caused by an issue with older versions of Kofax VRS.  Upgrading to Kofax VRS 5.2 Fix Pack 6 or higher is recommended in cases where the above solution does not resolve the issue.
