Oracle NET provider has not been installed KdoLib Error 4144 when launching Scan module

Issue

Oracle.net provider has not been installed KdoLib Error 4144 when launching Scan module

I am receiving the following error message when launching the Scan module on client machines:

"4144 Kdolib: The oracle.net provider has not been installed."

Or you're seeing the following error:

[4144] KdoLib: The Oracle .NET provider has not been installed. Please contact the Kofax Capture administrator.: kofax.KfxDb.KfxDbException

Cause

This can be caused because the Oracle ODAC has not been installed yet or the incorrect one has not been installed yet.

Solution

For Kofax Capture, you need to install the 32bit ODAC.
