Compiling Issues when Creating a VB.NET or C Sharp Validation Script with a Document Class Name that starts with a Number

3018695

Question / Problem:

When Creating a VB.NET or C# Validation Script with a Document Class Name that starts with a Number, why is there an issue compiling?

Answer / Solution:

A Document Class can be named starting with a number, for example "1stDocumentClass", however the VB.NET and C# rules do not allow the naming of any identifiers (objects, classes, functions or namespaces) to start with a number.

In this case, it is recommended to change the name of the Document Class, and any Index Fields, so that they start with either an underscore or a letter.

For example: "_1stDocumentClass"
