Unable to remove Workflow Agent

Question / Problem: 

I have removed a Workflow Agent from all Batch Classes that reference it and republished, however I am still unable to unregister the Workflow Agent in Administration. Why is this?

Answer / Solution: 

Starting in Kofax Capture 11, past published versions of Batch Classes are preserved to provide a way to roll back changes when needed.

In order to un-reguster a Workflow Agent, from the Publish dialog of any Batch Class that previously used the Workflow Agent, delete the previsously published versions of the Batch Class.

This will ensure that there are no references to the Workflow Agent left in Kofax Capture, and will allow for the safe un-registering of the Workflow Agent.
