XML file cannot be opened XmlFile error 9015 in XML AutoImport

Question / Problem:

When I run XML Auto Import, I receive an error message:

"(9015) XML file cannot be opened(XmlFile)."

What may be causing this error?

Answer / Solution:

There are several possible causes for this error.

  • The file does not exist. Please check to make sure the file path is valid.
  • The file is read-only. Please ensure the file is not a read-only file.
  • The file has Indexing turned off. Please check to make sure indexing is enabled by going to File Properties ¦ Advanced ¦ For fast searching, allow Indexing Services to index this file.
