Question / Problem:
I am using the Export Connector for Microsoft SharePoint v8.3. When the Export runs, I see the Document(s) and metadata being uploaded successfully but, a login window is displayed afterwards. What is causing this issue?
Answer / Solution:
The latest version of this Connector, Kofax Export Connector 8.4.0 for Microsoft SharePoint, addresses this issue within the Export Connector Setup. You can turn off the Repository Document ID lookup on the General Settings tab.
The most likely cause is that CMIS is not installed and activated on the SharePoint site. After a Document is uploaded, the Export Connector queries SharePoint to obtain the CMIS ID to assign it to the DocumentRepositoryID.
This feature can be turned off using an XML file. Reference the Kofax Export Connector 8.3.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Administrator's Guide, beginning on page 11, where it describes additional setup options that can be set in a configuration file.
For example, create a text file with a
.xml extension, naming it either
Config.xml and add the following:
<?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?> <Config> <RequestTimeoutSeconds>180</RequestTimeoutSeconds> <MaxRetries>5</MaxRetries> <WriteRepositoryId>false</WriteRepositoryId> </Config>
The configuration XML file should be placed in one of the paths below:
Note: When saving the XML file, select Save as, then select to save the file in
Keywords: document repository id, WriteRepositoryID
