User Profiles are not enabled in Kofax Capture error when logging into the KFS 4.x Administration Console or Thin Client

Question / Problem:

After successfully installing Kofax Front Office Server (KFS) 4.x, attempts to log in to the KFS Administration Console or the Thin Client using the Kofax Capture Admin account credentials result in the following error:

User Profiles are not enabled in Kofax Capture

Answer / Solution:

Kofax Capture User Profiles must be enabled to log in to the KFS Administration Console or the Thin Client.

To enable User Profiles in Kofax Capture:

  1. Open the Kofax Capture Administration module.
  2. From the Edit menu, select Profiles | User Profiles.
  3. Place a checkmark in the Enable User Profiles check box.
  4. Optional: Add new user(s) account(s).
  5. Click Save and Close.
