Issue
How to confirm or edit Kofax Front Office Server (KFS) Server URL in Ricoh MFP Java Client's KofaxRicohClient.dalp file
Solution
- Download the Ricoh MFP Client from the KFS Administration Console's Devices screen
- Unzip the downloaded
ricoh.zip
package
- Unzip the
KofaxRicohClient.zip
package
- Open
KofaxRicohClient.dalp
in a text editor such as Notepad
- Locate the following line:
<argument>-s https://myserver.mycompany.com:443/Kofax/KFS/Legacy/Java/</argument>
- Confirm or correct the http/https prefix
- Confirm or correct the port number
- Confirm or correct that the Fully-Qualified Domain Name, hostname, or IP Address points to the KFS Server or load-balancer/proxy server.
When connecting over HTTPS, the server FQDN, hostname, or IP Address must match the FQDN, hostname, or IP address in the certificates Subject and/or Alternate Subject fields.
- If KFS was installed using a custom URL, confirm that the rest of the URL matches the path to the Legacy Java web service
- If any changes were made, save them to
KofaxRicohClient.dalp
- Zip up the contents of the unzipped
KofaxRicohClient
folder
- Install the new zip package to the Ricoh MFP Device using the instructions in the Kofax Front Office Server Administrator's Guide for Ricoh MFPs
