Issue

How to confirm or edit Kofax Front Office Server (KFS) Server URL in Ricoh MFP Java Client's KofaxRicohClient.dalp file

Solution

  1. Download the Ricoh MFP Client from the KFS Administration Console's Devices screen

  2. Unzip the downloaded ricoh.zip package

  3. Unzip the KofaxRicohClient.zip package

  4. Open KofaxRicohClient.dalp in a text editor such as Notepad

  5. Locate the following line:
    <argument>-s https://myserver.mycompany.com:443/Kofax/KFS/Legacy/Java/</argument>

  6. Confirm or correct the http/https prefix

  7. Confirm or correct the port number

  8. Confirm or correct that the Fully-Qualified Domain Name, hostname, or IP Address points to the KFS Server or load-balancer/proxy server.

When connecting over HTTPS, the server FQDN, hostname, or IP Address must match the FQDN, hostname, or IP address in the certificates Subject and/or Alternate Subject fields.

  9. If KFS was installed using a custom URL, confirm that the rest of the URL matches the path to the Legacy Java web service

  10. If any changes were made, save them to KofaxRicohClient.dalp

  11. Zip up the contents of the unzipped KofaxRicohClient folder

  12. Install the new zip package to the Ricoh MFP Device using the instructions in the Kofax Front Office Server Administrator's Guide for Ricoh MFPs
