Insufficient Thin Client licenses Shutdown Worker process failed to start error logging into the KFS Thin Client


Question / Problem: 

Attempts to log into the Kofax Front Office Server (KFS) Thin Client result in the following error:

Insufficient Thin Client licenses Shutdown?

Worker process failed to start

Answer / Solution: 

This error can occur if the Net.Pipe Listener Adapter service fails to start after a reboot of the KFS server.  This prevents the KFS Thin Client from being able to perform the license check. 

To resolve this issue:

  1. Run services.msc
  2. Right-click Net.Pipe Listener Adapter and select Start
