How to clear the Kofax Xerox MFP Client data from the device cache on a Xerox Multifunction Printer (MFP) device.

Answer / Solution:

During the course of troubleshooting, it may become necessary to clear the Xerox MFP device cache to remove any corrupted data or files related to the Kofax Xerox MFP Client.

To clear the device cache:

  1. Using the Kofax Xerox Registration Utility, unregister the Xerox MFP device.
  2. On the MFP's front panel, press the Clear All button twice. 
  3. On the MFP's front panel screen, press the Confirm button.
  4. Power off the MFP device.
  5. Power the MFP device back on.
  6. On the MFP's front panel, press the Clear All button twice.
  7. On the MFP's front panel screen, press the Confirm button.
  8. Using the Kofax Xerox Registration Utility, re-register the Xerox MFP device.

 

Clearing the device cache both before and after power-cycling the MFP is crucial to ensuring that the cache is completely cleared.
