Cannot Deploy Client Because Device Does Not Support Client Deployment Error

Issue

Attempts to deploy the Kofax Front Office Server (KFS) MFP Front Panel Client from the Administration Console's Devices list to a Canon, Fujitsu, Konica-Minolta, Kyocera, Lexmark, or Xerox Multi-Function Printer (MFP) device fail with the following error message:

Cannot deploy the client to "<Device Name>" because the device does not support client deployment.

 

Cause

The Deploy button in the KFS Administration Console's Devices screen can only be used to deploy the client to a limited number of HP and Ricoh MFP devices.

 

Solution

Use the instructions in the Administrator's Guide for the appropriate MFP manufacturer to either install or register the Kofax MFP Client on the device:
