Enable Red Color Dropout using a custom eVRS string in KFS

Question / Problem:

How can I perform red colour dropout and return a black and white image in KFS using eVRS/Advanced Image Processing settings?

Answer / Solution:

Each Shortcut or Destination has its own Scan settings tab. In order to use the Advanced Image Processing Settings for colour dropout, the Scan colour mode needs to be set to colour; the image output by this process will be bitonal.

The syntax of the commands required is as follows:

_LoadSetting_<PropertyName="CBinarize.Wei_Blue_To_Gray.Int" Value="0" Comment="DEFAULT

0"/>

You may also require some additional commands to adjust the edge detection, otherwise the red objects may be outlined.

The "edge_threshold" should be set to the lowest value that still removes the red area; if the value is too high you, can lose detail in the image.

(Please be careful when using the API reference for the properties — the manual shows CBinarize.Wei_Red_To_Gray.Int Int, but the second int is not required)
