Thumbs.db file Causes Document Conversion Error during Import

Question / Problem: 

How can I resolve an issue where KIC utilizing folder import is importing the thumbs.db file which causes a document conversion error?

Answer / Solution: 

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:

1.      If the Watch folder is on a Windows 2008 or Windows 7 OS machine, then run gpedit.msc from the Run command which runs the Local Group Policy Editor.

2.      Expand User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer.

3.      Double click on the Turn off the caching of thumbnails in hidden thumbs.db files setting, select Enabled, and click Ok to save the settings.
