Invalid KC profile user name or password error when testing Credentials

Question / Problem: 

How can I resolve an issue where the following error occurs when clicking on the Test Credentials button in the General Settings or Kofax Capture Settings window of the KC Plug-In console?

 

Invalid KC profile user name or password.

Answer / Solution: 

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:

1.      Re-enter the password for the Kofax Capture user in the General Settings of Kofax Capture Settings window and test again.

 

2.      If the error still occurs, then reset the Kofax Capture user’s password in User Profiles and re-enter the updated password for the Kofax Capture user in the General Settings of Kofax Capture Settings window and test again.
