Question / Problem:
In Kofax Message Connector the license for Kofax Import Connector is displaying Red even though a license is being taken from KIC Email integration in
Capture License utility
The event viewer also shows the following error:
The description for Event ID 38022 from source KIC-ED-KCPlugIn cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
Cannot add passive input to fetch list :System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException
at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadResponse(SoapClientMessage message, WebResponse response, Stream responseStream, Boolean asyncCall)
at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object parameters)
at Kofax.KCS.ImportConnector.albin.albinService.InputlistAdd(InputSettingsType inputlistadd1)
at Kofax.KCS.ImportConnector.MessageSource.MC.MCMessageProvider.SendToServer(InputSettingsType itemSettings, String username, String password)
Answer / Solution:
Third-party Antivirus or other Security applications may prevent the Message Connector from seeing that a license line item is present and has been taken by the PlugIn Service. Adding an exclusion/exception for the Message Connector in the Antivirus or Security software should prevent them from blocking Message Connector's ability to see the license.
