3020211

Question / Problem:

What can cause an issue where the KC Plug-In service fails to start with the following error?

Could not load one or more destinations

Answer / Solution:

This issue can be caused by the account used for the KC Plug-In service not having access to a batch naming script located on a Windows folder share that was configured in one or more destinations.

Below is an excerpt for the KC Plug-In log:

2018-04-19 15:38:39,616 ERROR [Thread=1] [BatchNamingScriptFactory] Cannot initialize batch naming script. File not found \\<Share_Name>\KCSImportScriptingSample\KCSImportScriptingSample\BatchNameSampleScript.cs

2018-04-19 15:38:39,616 INFO  [Thread=1] [InitBatchNameFormatter] Checking batch naming script ...

2018-04-19 15:38:39,616 ERROR [Thread=1] [AEFImportConnector] KIC importer (Instance=1) Cannot initialize destination because the batch naming script failed to load. EventID:38001

2018-04-19 15:38:39,616 ERROR [Thread=1] [AEFImportConnector] KIC importer (Instance=1) Could not load one or more destinations. EventID:38001

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:

1. Resolve the access issue so the account used for the KC Plug-In service now has access to the batch naming script located on a Windows folder share.

2. Restart the KC Plug-In service.
