EBC license taken by KIC PlugIn Service and not released

Question / Problem:

How can I resolve an issue where the KC Plug-In service takes the EBC license and does not release it?

Answer / Solution:

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:

  1. Start the Kofax Capture Administration module from the Kofax Capture group in the Windows Start menu.
  2. From the menu, select Electronic Documents ¦ Configuration.
  3. On the Assistance Tasks menu, click Kofax Capture Settings or General Settings.
  4. Uncheck Cache import process instance and click OK.
  5. Click Restart Service to restart the KC Plug-In service.
