Issue
When testing the connection to an EWS mailbox in KIC versions 2.8 and below, the following log occurs in the logs:
"{"EwsDotNet"} Cannot retrieve messages from EWS. EWS returned exception. Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ServiceRequestException: The request failed. The underlying connection was closed"
How can this be resolved?
Solution
It has been seen in several different scenarios that upgrading to KIC 2.9 with Fix Pack 5 resolves this error.
