KC Plug–In Service Terminated Unexpectedly

Issue

KIC Plug-In serivce does not stay started, receiving the following error msg: 

The Kofax Import Connector – Electronic Documents – KC Plug–In service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 85 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 300000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

and the KIC MC Monitor does not show Mailbox license. 

Cause

This issue can be caused by the service user account used to run the Kofax Import Connector services not having sufficient permissions.

Solution

This issue can be resolved by using a service user account that has local admin rights.

To change the service user account(s) that run(s) the KIC services:

1. Open the properties of KIC Plug-In service.
2. Select Log On
3. Select This Account
4. Select Browse, enter the user logon name
5. Select "Check Names" to locate it
6. Select the correct name
7. Save and restarte the services
8. Repeat steps to make same changes to the KIC MC service.
