Issue

Unable to open Message Connector Configuration Module from Windows Start menu using the Edge.browser,

 

Cause

In Kofax Import Connector (KIC)  2.8 and 2.9 if the IE browser is uninstalled/disabled the Message Connector Configuration will not open.  

 

Solution

There are three options available:

  • The Message Connector Configuration can be accessed from the Message Connector Monitor | Configuration tools option.  Requires Edge WebView2 runtimes installed
  • Leave IE installed
  • Upgrade to KIC 2.10 where this is resolved and install Edge Webview2 runtimes. This is documented in the KIC 2.10 Technical Specifications.
