Maintenance and Support date within MFDP Software

Article # 3018397 - Page views: 8305

Overview

All new Kofax Digital Imaging Orders will fulfill with license keys/serial numbers that display the below expiration dates within the software after activation.

Renewal Orders are no longer issuing renewal license keys, serial numbers, or CNR numbers, which previously were applied to the software to update the maintenance expiration date.

Maintenance status and related start and end dates will only be reflected in Kofax's internal systems and is based on the contract terms at the time of purchase or renewal.

A one-time reset will be required to update the maintenance date on existing software deployments. See further details below in the next section of this article.

An expired date being displayed within the software will not affect the functionality of the software itself however there will be the following system limitations:

  • Software version upgrades
  • Ability to apply hotfixes
  • Ability to install software downloads

Resets to update the expiration date within the software will not be completed if the Maintenance contract is expired. The reset to update this expiration date will only occur once the expired contract has been renewed and is active again.
