Secure and compliant scanning to the digital document archive (notaries) or the special electronic attorney mailbox "beA" (attorneys) in Germany

Secure and compliant legal transactions stipulate that the digital copy (digital copy of the paper-based original) must meet certain requirements. 

• A4 or A3 format
• Creation of color digital copies 
• A minimum resolution of 300dpi
• Compression methods that pose a risk of falsification are not used or can be deactivated, e.g. "Symbol Coding". 
• Image altering algorithms can be deactivated
• The digital copy is created in an ISO standard-compliant PDF/A format.
• A manual that supports the relevant configuration is available.

Kofax AutoStore and the Kofax ControlSuite enable capture workflows to be configured specifically to this requirement. Different capture channels, such as scanning from the MFP, capture via a desktop application, smart devices and others can be used. The required configurations are fully supported.  

The following two versions are supported as lossless compression methods when generating the PDF: 

• JBIG2 (default setting)
• CCITT4 (alternative setting)

Attached is a simple configuration (cfg) which can be used as an example for using CCITT4 lossless compression.

Der sichere und konforme Rechtsverkehr sieht vor, dass das Digitalisat (digitale Kopie des papierbasierten Originals) bestimmten Anforderungen entsprechen muss. 

• Format A4 oder A3
• Erzeugung von farbigen Digitalisaten 
• Eine Mindestauflösung von 300dpi
• Kompressionsverfahren mit dem Risiko einer Verfälschung werden nicht benutzt bzw. können deaktiviert werden. z.B. „Symbol Coding“. 
• Bildverändernde Algorithmen können deaktiviert werden
• Das Digitalisat wird in einem ISO-Normkonformen PDF/A Format erzeugt.
• Ein Handbuch, das bei der relevanten Klonfiguration unterstützt liegt vor.

Kofax AutoStore bzw. die Kofax ControlSuite ermöglichen Erfassungsworkflows spezifisch auf diese Anforderung zu konfigurieren. Hierzu können unterschiedliche Erfassungskanäle, wie das Scannen vom MFP, Erfassen über eine Desktop Applikation sowie Smart Devices und weitere Verwendung finden. Die erforderlichen Konfigurationen werden gänzlich unterstützt.  

Als Verlustfreie Kompressionsverfahren bei der Erzeugung des PDFs werden folgende beiden Versionen unterstützt: 

• JBIG2 (Standardeinstellung)
• CCITT4 (Alternative Einstellung)

Angehängt eine einfache Konfiguration (cfg) welche als Beispiel für die Nutzung der CCITT4 Verlustfreien Kompression verwendet werden kann.
