Question:
What tools can be used to check ports are open between ControlSuite Servers?
Answer:
We are pleased to announce the release of the ControlSuite Port Checker Utility for partner use.
Overview
- As Kofax ControlSuite is a client-server application, and the client (MFP) and the server (ControlSuite) can be connected via a complicated network infrastructure, sometimes it is challenging to troubleshoot why the MFD client and ControlSuite server are unable to communicate successfully together.
- The Kofax ControlSuite Port Checker allows you to identify potential network issues you may encounter when using ControlSuite by checking that required ports are open across the network. It has also been pre-configured with a list of network ports covering various components of ControlSuite as well as providing an option to check “ad-hoc” or specific (unlisted) ports.
