How do you create a new self-signed certificate for Equitrac 6?
Answer / Solution:
If the Equitrac certificate has expired, follow the steps below to recreate a new self-signed certificate.
- Log in to the Equitrac server as the Equitrac Service Account.
- Launch the Microsoft Management Console (MMC).
- Select File Add/Remove Snap-in.
- Select Certificates.
- Select Current User and Local Computer.
- Browse to Equitrac -Shared and delete the certificate.
- Exit the Microsoft Management Console (MMC).
- Launch the Kofax Configuration Assistant.
- Select Certificate Management.
- Select Equitrac component.
- From the dropdown menu at the top select Generate Self-Signed Certificate.
- Start the Windows “Services” applet.
- For ControlSuite 1.1 Fix pack 6 or lower installations select the EQ CAS service.
- Restart the service.
- For ControlSuite 1.2.x installations select ControlSuite CAS service.
- Restart the service.
