When installing the Equitrac Workstation Client for Windows, when attempting to enroll the Workstation Client, the following message is displayed:
"Verify you entered valid SFS information and .NET framework v4.7.2 or higher is installed correctly, error received: No response received in 20 seconds"
This message has multiple causes
Cause 1: .NET Framework v 4.7.2 or later is not installed.
Resolution 1: Install .NET Framework v4.7.2 or later.
Cause 2: Invalid Security Framework Login credentials were provided.
Resolution 2: Enter valid Security Framework credentials. This login would have been created during the setup of the Security Framework service. If you are unsure what login was used, refer to the ControlSuite documentation on how to reset this password.
Cause 3: Security Framework server does not have a valid DNS record.
Resolution 3: In order to enroll services remotely with Security Framework, the server needs to be able to resolve the hostname of the Security Framework Server, even if you specify the IP address on this screen. Correct the DNS record for the Security Framework server and try again.
Cause 4: Port 8181 is blocked on the Security Framework Server.
Resolution 4: Ensure that port 8181 is accessible from the workstation that is attempting to connect to the Security Framework service. This can be tested with a web browser by visiting https://<SFSHostname>:8181. If you are able to connect, you should see a message that says NDI Site.
